Phase One: Consultation and Brief
To start, contact Elias with as much detail about your required piece so he can form a comprehensive design brief. If you have inspiration photos or ideas, he can use these and merge design elements to suit your taste. Additionally, Elias can visit your house to spend some time understanding your requirements and get a sense of the space. He will take measurements, obeserve the space, and discuss design choices and timber selection.
Phase Two: Design
From there, Elias will spend time designing and sketching your project to get the rough proportions of the piece. Once satisfied, he takes his drawings to Fusion 360 to 3D model them and fine tune the joinery, shape and details. You will receive a link to this file so that you can see the digital model of your project. If you are happy, Elias will compile a material list and preliminary quote for your approval before commencing.
Phase Three: Construction
Now is the exiting part! When material arrives, Elias carefully sorts boards according to their grain pattern and begins the task of building the piece. Joinery, constructing and finishing are all done from his workshop in The Gap and you will recieve regular updates via email or text with photos of the process. This is the stage where you see your piece come to life. On completion, he will personally install the piece in your home.

The Process
The Workshop
Each project at Silver Falls Furniture is carefully crafted inside Elias's workshop where raw timber lengths are processed, cut and shaped, joined, then sanded and finished. Many of the tools and machines in the workshop are specialist tools, ensuring quality, precision and reliability at every step.
